The School Superintendents of Alabama (SSA) is seeking its next Executive Director to continue our legacy of strong leadership, advocacy, and service. After what will be eight years of exceptional service, Mr. Ryan Hollingsworth will be retiring effective July 1, 2026, having elevated SSA through unified legislative representation, strong financial stewardship, and unwavering support of superintendents across our state. 

Under Mr. Hollingsworth’s leadership, SSA has grown into a trusted voice for Alabama’s public schools. As we look to the future, the SSA Board of Directors is committed to identifying a new leader who will build upon this foundation and further our mission to support Alabama’s superintendents and the students we serve.
