Board of Directors

School Superintendents of Alabama is divided into nine districts. Each district elects a president who is responsible for establishing and conducting district meetings and representing the district on the SSA Board of Directors.

District presidents communicate the concerns and priorities of superintendents within their districts to the board and share information from the board with their districts. The Board of Directors is composed of four executive officers, nine district presidents, five CLAS board members, and at least two AASA governing board members.
